Fayrouz Yousfi

Fayrouz Yousfi is a Ph.D. candidate at the University of Ghent and a member of the MENARG. Her research seeks to understand the role of women farmworkers in labor rights mobilizations in southern Morocco. The research seeks to understand the dynamics of women farmworkers’ insertion into feminized agricultural labor farmworkers’ resistance and shifting forms of labor activism. Furthermore, it aims at showing how women farmworkers resist their labor relations in Morocco’s agricultural sector, where it still rests mightily on the exploitation of women. Her main research interests are gendered critical agrarian studies and social movements.
